  • What ages do you teach in lessons?
We start kids as young as 4 years old and up. We have a large adult program as well.
  • What kinds of Wester lessons do you teach?
We offer Rodeo & Speed Lessons - Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Roping, Break away. We also offer Western Pleasure, Reining, Ranch, Horsemanship, and AQHA events
  • Do you provide lesson horses & tack?
Yes. We have 20 show quality horses and ponies available for lessons and showing. We provide everything, including helmets.
  • There are many options for lessons - which is best for me or my child?
We recommend booking an evaluation lesson first. During this hour-long lesson your child will learn how to brush, saddle, and feel comfortable working on the ground with the horse or pony. Then we will evaluate your child's riding level. If this is the student's first time on a horse, they will learn the basics of walking, steering, and trotting. We will then make a recommendation on a lesson plan that fits your child's goals.
  • What should I or my child wear and bring to lessons?
Long pants (jeans preferred), Western riding boots or boots with a small heel, and riding helmet (no bike helmets). We have lesson helmets that your child can borrow.
  • Do I or my child have to participate in horse shows?
We are a no pressure to show barn but believe everyone learn confidence and responsibility in the show ring. For kids that don't enjoy traditional sports- showing horses offers many benefits for college resumes and scholarships in the future. If you or your wants to show, we provide the horses and tack as well as develop a plan for your him/her to succeed in the ring. We show Kentucky High School Rodeo, SIJRA, Little Britches Rodeo, American Quarter Horse, American Ranch Horse, IBRA and IEA.
  • How do I book a lesson?
